Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Theatre Practitioner/Scrub Nurse in Gynaecology, Urology & Robotics at a reputable private hospital in South Kensington, London. The hospital offers treatment for both adults and children, providing world-class care.

Qualifications: Must be an RGN Nurse with a current active NMC Pin or an ODP with HCPC registration.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist in patient positioning and preparation, ensuring correct labelling and dispatch of specimens.
  2. Maintain infection control standards, including dress, environment cleanliness, decontamination, sterilisation, and asepsis.
  3. Participate in induction and orientation programs for new staff.
  4. Prepare patients for procedures in anaesthetics and surgery.
  5. Assist in clinical and operative procedures.
  6. Take charge of the clinical area in the absence of an advanced practitioner, ensuring safety.
  7. Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate peri-operative patient care.
  8. Delegate and supervise junior staff and unqualified personnel.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Ability to deliver high standards of care.
  • Knowledge of current professional nursing issues.
  • Experience in perioperative care across various specialties such as Gynaecology, Urology, General, Plastics, or Kidney Transplant.
Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will earn between £34,130 and £43,730 annually. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, working days. Benefits include:
