The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in Chelsea is seeking a Band 6 Staff Nurse with post-registration experience, ideally in oncology, to join the Medical Day Unit. The unit specialises in Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) administration, supportive care and clinical trials in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• NMC registration is essential and valid in the UK.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development required.
• RMH Certificate in Intravenous Drug Administration or obtained within three months of appointment.
• Qualification in oncology or related speciality.
• Diploma or Degree level study (or equivalent).
• Recognised teaching qualification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate high-quality, evidence-based nursing care as part of the multidisciplinary team.
• Lead assessment and management of complex cancer patients receiving SACT.
• Educate patients on SACT and clinical trials.
• Coordinate shift and supervise junior staff.
• Support senior colleagues in protocol adherence and patient safety.
