Zusammenfassung

The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a registered nurse to join the day cancer treatment team. You will support the safe delivery of care for patients attending day procedures and contribute to a compassionate, efficient service.

Chemotherapy training will be provided, and applicants with venepuncture, IV drug administration, or central venous access device care experience will have an advantage.

Qualifikationen

• Registered nurse with current registratioin (NMC) and relevant nursing qualifications.
• Experience in cancer care is desirable to support day-patient treatments.
• Willingness to undertake chemotherapy training and develop relevant qualifications as needed.

Jobbeschreibung

This post will be working to supporting the existing team in the safe delivery of care to a wide range of cancer patients undergoing day patients treatments. The successful candidate will be a registered nurse, preferably with previous experience in looking after people with a cancer diagnosis. The applicant should have excellent communication skills. Chemotherapy training will be given but venepuncture, IV drug administration and care of central venous access devices would be an advantage. If chemotherapy training is needed, the applicants must be willing to undertake formal study to obtain the relevant qualifications as part of their development and role. The successful candidate should be flexible to meet the increasingly complex needs of the service and be able to work effectively within a small team, with resilience, warmth and a sense of humour.
