Job summary

Nuffield Health Brighton Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician with post-qualification oncology/haemato-oncology experience to join our dedicated team. You’ll work with the oncology pharmacist to support clinical services, reconcile medications, prepare discharge meds and counsel patients in a fast-paced hospital setting.

This permanent full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week, with a salary up to £35,000 depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package including gym

Qualifications

• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
• Post-qualification experience in oncology or systemic anticancer therapy (SACT).
• Excellent communication and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with the oncology pharmacist and pharmacy manager to deliver clinical services for oncology/haemato-oncology patients.
• Undertake medicines reconciliation, prepare discharge medications, and counsel patients.
• Liaise with colleagues and suppliers to plan and order SACT for appointments.
• Train and support colleagues in SACT ordering, dispensing and administration.
• Assist with procurement of pharmaceutical stock for the pharmacy and other departments.
• Assist with supplying stock to other departments.
• Participate in stock takes and audits.
