Qualifications

• MPharm Degree (4years) or equivalent (3)
• Member GPhC (3)
• Postgraduate clinical diploma (2)
• Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Assurance (PTQA) Diploma (2)
• Non-Medical Prescribing (2)
• Practice in one or more relevant areas (2)
• Clinical pharmacy experience and practice (2)
• Ability to deal with complex clinical issues (2)
• Supervisory management of a team (2)
• Reports to committees. Experience of leafing pharmacy services in primary or secondary care (2)

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Oncology Pharmacist in day-to-day management of clinical verification of chemotherapy prescriptions.
• Support the Principal Pharmacist for Technical Services in providing GMP compliant aseptically prepared chemotherapy medicines.
• Support the development of pharmacists and technicians and ensure team working within the Pharmacy Technical Services Team.
• Act as Authorising Pharmacist under section 10 exemption.
• Monitor and supervise staff in the Technical Service Unit and ensure safe systems of work.
