Job summary

Humber Health Partnership is seeking an experienced oncology nurse practitioner to support patients receiving systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT). The role requires advanced assessment skills, leadership, and the ability to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team to improve patient experience and cancer services across the organisation.

The post holder will act as a specialist resource for patients, carers, and colleagues, contributing to education, governance, and service development

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with clinical expertise in cancer care and systemic therapies (SACT).
• Experience in managing treatment-related toxicities and oncology emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist support and care for patients receiving systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT).
• Assess, monitor, and manage treatment-related toxicities and oncology emergencies.
• Act as a key worker and expert resource for patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.
• Deliver patient education, counselling, and support to promote informed decision-making and self-management.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate and optimise patient care.
• Contribute to nurse-led services, clinics, and service development initiatives.
• Support the education, training, and development of nursing and wider healthcare staff.
• Participate in audit, quality improvement, clinical governance, and research activities.
