Job summary
The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust in Essex is seeking a Band 5 Nurse for a 12-month secondment to develop Oncology/Haematology experience, focusing on systemic anti-cancer therapies (SACT) and supportive treatments for patients on SACT. Cannulation, venepuncture, and central line skills are desirable, with enthusiasm to develop these further.
You will work in a multidisciplinary team delivering care in line with the NMC Code.
Qualifications
- Motivated to develop Oncology/Haematology experience.
- Willing to work on SACT education and competency
- Commitment to patient safety and evidence-based care
Responsibilities
- Deliver supportive treatments to patients receiving SACT.
- Perform cannulation, venepuncture and venous access procedures.
- Support administration of blood products and intravenous therapies.
- Work within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care.
