Job summary

Kings Oak Hospital, part of Circle Health Group, in Enfield, is seeking a Registered Nurse (Adult) to join the Oncology/Haematology team on a 30-hour per week, permanent basis. The role involves delivering nursing care across inpatient, day-case and outpatient settings, with a flexible shift pattern.

You will support chemotherapy, transfusions, and other treatments in a private, hospital environment. The ideal candidate will hold current NMC registration, have Oncology/Haematology experience or

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration.
• Experience in Oncology and/or Haematology settings or strong transferable skills.
• Sound understanding of clinical governance and patient safety.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to support patients in challenging situations.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Post-registration experience in Oncology, Haematology, or cancer services.
• Experience in private healthcare, acute hospital, or specialist cancer services.
• Evidence of involvement in audits, service improvement, or specialist training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and individualised nursing care to Oncology and Haematology patients across inpatient, day-case and outpatient settings.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in line with agreed treatment pathways and care plans.
• Support patients undergoing cancer and haematological treatments, including chemotherapy and transfusions.
• Monitor patients for treatment-related side effects, complications, and deterioration, escalating concerns appropriately.
• Provide holistic care addressing physical, emotional, psychological, and informational needs of patients and families.
• Administer prescribed treatments and medications in line with local policies and competency frameworks.
