Oncology Data Specialist maintains an efficient cancer database of all patients diagnosed and/or treated for cancer, in accordance with the American College of Surgeons requirements for Sentara Cancer Network. This role involves consistently meeting productivity goals related to abstracting, assisting with maintaining annual follow-up of patients in the database, and case finding.
Education Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Certification/Licensure
Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certification from the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA) within 3 years of hire
Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Records Data
