Job summary

AMPLY Discovery is seeking a Research Scientist in oncology cell biology to support experimental validation within FMI at Queen's University Belfast. The role focuses on cell-based assays, target validation, and progression of oncology programmes.

You will generate high-quality data from siRNA/ASO knockdowns, RNA analyses and phenotypic screens. Collaboration with computational biology and external partners is essential, with robust documentation.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in biology, pharmacology or related life sciences.
• Strong experience in mammalian cell culture and molecular biology.
• Experience with cell-based assays and knockdown technologies.
• Excellent data recording and documentation.
• Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Culture and maintain cancer cell lines and normal controls.
• Develop and optimise cell-based assays for target validation.
• Perform siRNA/ASO knockdown and analyze outcomes.
• Plan experiments with proper controls and statistics.
• Collaborate with computational biology and external partners.
