Job summary

Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an organised, enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Assistant to join our experienced Pharmacy team, supporting the delivery of an Oncology and Haematology pharmacy service and the supply of aseptic products across the Trust.

The role suits candidates with previous pharmacy experience; experience dispensing or handling chemotherapy medicines would be advantageous, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy experience in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
• Demonstrated meticulous accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmacy assistant duties and support in the Pharmacy Aseptic Supply Unit (ASU).
• Assist with organisation and administration to senior colleagues.
• Participate in the dispensary late-evening, weekend and bank holiday rota.
