Job summary

The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester is seeking substantive Consultant Radiologists with a special interest in oncological cross-sectional imaging. This post offers a path to GMC Specialist Register within six months of interview and includes involvement in MDTs and a generous research/education role.

Based primarily at The Christie’s main site in Withington, the role supports a high-volume cancer imaging service with opportunities for some home working.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent qualification.
• FRCR or equivalent radiology fellowship.
• GMC registration with a license to practice.
• CCT within 6 months of interview or CESR eligibility.
• Management training.
• Additional research or teaching qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior diagnostic imaging input across CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Plain Film, Interventional Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.
• Lead and participate in MDT meetings for cancer imaging across tumour groups.
• Chair cancer MDTs and develop subspecialty interests in disease areas.
• Contribute to research and education within the department.
• Be included in on-call rota as part of Consultant duties.
