Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Produce and deliver drinks/food in line with brand standards & recipes, adhering to food safety and alcohol licensing laws.
  • Understand and follow Bar and Till Training Procedures to ensure accurate transactions and prevent stock loss.
  • Provide a 'world class' customer service, proactively offering information throughout the customer journey.
  • Collaborate with the onboard team to maintain cleanliness and high standards on vessels.
  • Assist the Master / Mate / DCSA during emergencies and participate in monthly drills for preparedness.
  • Serve food and beverages, ensuring proper portioning, presentation, and product knowledge.
  • Follow food hygiene and safety procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Handle alcohol sales responsibly, complying with licensing requirements.
  • Greet and engage customers warmly, exploring their food and drink preferences.
  • Process sales through the EPOS system, ensuring full payment and accurate records.
  • Maximize sales through upselling, enhancing customer experience and profitability.
  • Minimize stock losses by preventing theft, damage, and ensuring proper restocking and merchandise display.
  • Report feedback, complaints, stock needs, breakages, faults, or hazards to the line manager.
  • Sell tickets to passengers outside of the 'Pay Before You Travel' policy when permitted.
  • Use onboard resources to make PA announcements about food and drinks, and address customer queries.

Able to work efficiently under pressure with patience and empathy. Hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate and have relevant experience in customer service, food service, or retail environments.
