Job summary

Holland & Barrett in Burton upon Trent is seeking a Warehouse Lead Manager to steer the day-to-day warehouse operation at the Burton Distribution Centre. The role involves duty management, ensuring safety, and driving efficiency while supporting the stores network.

You will coach Team Managers, plan labour and shift coverage, and use data to drive improvements. This on-site position offers a 37.5-hour week with a rotating shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in warehouse or distribution.
• Experience coaching and developing people.
• Strong health and safety and employment practices understanding.
• Experience managing operational performance measures and delivering change.
• Clear, confident communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to use data and insight to plan, prioritise and decide.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day warehouse operation and duty management.
• Champion health, safety and compliance across the operation.
• Coach, develop and support Team Managers to build capability.
• Plan labour, training, resources and shift coverage.
• Lead communication, colleague engagement and operational change.
• Manage attendance, employee relations, recruitment and succession planning.
• Build relationships across Transport, Finance, People and other teams.
• Use performance data to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure material handling equipment (MHE) compliance, training and competency.
