Job summary

Strata Consulting is seeking a Resident Engineer for a data centre project near Brent Cross, West London. You will be the on-site presence ensuring seamless delivery of structural works, coordinating with contractors and designers, and driving quality assurance on a high‑specification facility.

The role requires eight years’ experience with concrete and steel buildings, familiarity with British Standards/Eurocodes, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Qualifications

• Circa eight years’ experience in technical concrete and steel buildings.
• Data centre experience is highly desirable.
• Site-based engineering with adherence to designs and quality standards.
• Excellent communication with contractors and project teams.
• A proactive problem-solving mindset on-site.
• Familiarity with British Standards, Eurocodes and best practices.
• Commitment to delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Chartered with IStructE or ICE (preferred but not essential).
• MEng or BEng in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery on-site and ensure structural works meet high standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, designers and project team.
• Ensure compliance of concrete and steel structures with designs.
• Drive quality assurance and timely issue resolution on major projects.
