Job summary

SPT Labtech is seeking a Stores Assistant to join our site-based team in Cambridgeshire for a 3-6 month fixed term contract. You will support all aspects of the stores function and help ensure smooth daily operations in a fast-paced laboratory logistics environment.

You’ll work closely with goods-in, picking and stock control processes, using WMS and standard office tools. A proactive, detail-oriented team player with GCSE maths/english is ideal. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a logistics environment preferred.
• GCSE level education with Maths and English desirable.
• Microsoft Office skills required.

Responsibilities

• Goods Inwards: receive, check against PO/delivery notes, inspect for damage, book into inventory, label and store items, maintain area.
• Works Order Picking: pick and prepare materials, ensure accuracy, stage materials for production, update stock systems, resolve shortages.
• Consumable order process: pick, count, pack, ensure FIFO and stock rotation, use WMS/scanners, replenish locations, report issues.
• General Duties: conduct regular stock checks, follow safety/quality/site procedures, maintain stores housekeeping, assist other warehouse tasks.
