Job summary

CJS Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Engineer to join a construction project on site. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately setting out steelwork and marking coordinates from technical drawings.

You will work closely with steel erectors and site managers, take measurements, check dimensions, levels and alignments, and maintain high health and safety standards on site.

Responsibilities

• Setting out steelwork accurately from construction and engineering drawings.
• Marking coordinates and positions on site using drawings and surveying equipment.
• Taking measurements and ensuring steelwork is positioned correctly.
• Working closely with steel erectors, site managers and other engineering teams.
• Checking dimensions, levels and alignments against drawings.
• Identifying and reporting any discrepancies or issues with drawings or site conditions.
• Ensuring all work is completed accurately and to project specifications.
• Maintaining a high standard of health and safety on site.
