Job summary

SLS UK is seeking an on-site Security Guard in York to safeguard people, property, and premises through patrols and access control. You will contribute to a secure environment by monitoring entrances, reporting incidents, and supporting crowd management when required.

This contract role requires a valid SIA licence, strong observation skills, and the ability to work shifts including evenings and weekends. You will collaborate with supervisors and control room staff to maintain high safety

Qualifications

• SIA licence valid and knowledge of UK security regulations.
• Experience in physical security, including patrolling and incident response.
• Strong written and verbal reporting abilities.
• Ability to work weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols to safeguard people and property.
• Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas.
• Observe, report suspicious activity and incidents.
• Prepare accurate incident and shift reports.
• Support crowd management and liaise with control room.
