Job summary

Mars, Incorporated and its Affiliates in Slough is seeking a Quality & Food Safety (Q&FS) Specialist to guardian product integrity and foster a culture of safety on site. You will coach staff, lead the on-site microbiology lab oversight, and drive HACCP, PRIMP, and audit readiness across manufacturing and technical teams.

The role is on-site in Slough, offering an annual salary of £36,900–£41,500 with an annual bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a couple of years hands-on Food Safety experience in food manufacturing/beverage.
• Solid working knowledge of HACCP, FSSC 22000, GMP/GHP, and Quality & Food Safety Management Systems.
• Strong understanding of food microbiology and environmental monitoring.
• Experience participating in or leading quality audits.
• Experience managing 6 contractors for the site.

Responsibilities

• Drive Food Safety Standards & Compliance across site operations.
• Lead Site Microbiology & Environmental Programs, including lab oversight and testing program execution.
• Champion Risk Mitigation & Incident Support (HACCP & PRIMP) and participate in audits.
• Empower & coach teams through training and collaborative campaigns.
