Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer or similar within facilities management or property services.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, pumps, motors and related controls.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical faults and perform planned maintenance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client and contractor liaison.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
• Plumbing experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, servicing and repairs of mechanical systems and equipment such as HVAC, pumps and motors.
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance to ensure reliability and efficiency of systems.
• Respond promptly to mechanical faults, breakdowns and emergencies to minimise disruption.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine the best course of action.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors and suppliers to resolve maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, equipment data and documentation.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to improve maintenance processes.
