Job summary

MBDA in Bolton is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our Manufacturing Operations team. You will support assembly and certification of a variety of mechanical hardware builds, from small fixtures to complex missile systems, ensuring targets are met on time and to quality standards.

This role is on-site with dynamic hybrid scheduling depending on workload. You will work in a fast-paced, inclusive environment that values safety, continuous improvement and close collaboration with

Qualifications

• Reading assembly drawings and planning instructions.
• Fully conversant with Manufacturing equipment, tools and measuring instruments.
• Uses initiative and can work without close supervision.
• Goes the extra mile to finish work to a high standard.
• Flexibility and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring completed hardware builds are manufactured per drawings and specifications.
• Maintaining a safe working environment in-line with 5S policies.
• Delivering to time, cost and quality requirements.
• Ensuring assembly unit production costs are met.
• Maintaining workmanship standards and product quality.
• Completing all manufacturing documentation.
• Collaborating with Operators, Engineering and Quality for continuous improvement.
