Job summary

MBDA is seeking an Electrical Fitter to join the Manufacturing team. You will support assembly and certification of electrical hardware builds, from small fixtures to complex missile systems, ensuring targets are met for time, cost and quality.

A strong emphasis on safe working practices and documentation is required. Candidates should have Electrical Engineering Level 3 qualifications or an Advanced Level apprenticeship, and be prepared for on-site work with BPSS clearance.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 academic qualification (ONC, diploma, etc.)
• Electrical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 vocational qualification (NVQ)
• NVQ not required if L3 apprenticeship completed
• Familiar with reading assembly drawings and planning instructions

Responsibilities

• Ensure hardware builds meet drawings and specifications
• Maintain safe working environment following 5S
• Deliver to time, cost and quality targets
• Keep manufacturing documentation up to date
• Collaborate with Operators, Engineering and Quality for improvements
• Support assembly unit production costs targets
