Job summary

Rayner Surgical Group is expanding its Material Science team at the Global HQ in Worthing to support R&D with data collection, analysis and management across chemical, clinical and experimental domains.

The role is 100% on-site at our Worthing HQ, focusing on providing high-quality scientific support within a safe and well-organised laboratory environment while meeting project needs and timetables.

Qualifications

• Higher degree or masters in Biological or Chemical Sciences (BSc/MSc).
• Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience.
• PhD in Biological or chemical sciences (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyse chemical data.
• Collect and analyse clinical and medical samples.
• Provide ready access to all experimental data for the researcher and/or supervisor.
• Request or acquire equipment or supplies necessary for specific projects.
• Manage and respond to project related email.
• Attend project meetings.
• Setup, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Develop research protocols and new analytical test methods.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Maintain a clean and tidy lab environment.
• Place orders of chemicals and lab consumables.
