Job summary

Suffolk New College Ipswich campus is seeking a Lecturer in Civil Engineering/Built Environment (Level 2-6) to teach on Level 3–6 courses and contribute to curriculum development. The role is on-site, 35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, with a salary range of £31,200 to £45,759 per annum plus market forces payment up to £5,781 per annum.

A relevant degree and Level 2 Maths/English are required, with a commitment to achieving a teaching qualification.

Qualifications

• Must have relevant up-to-date industry experience, supported by a relevant Degree or equivalent.
• There is scope to help develop the curriculum for the new T Level in Design, Surveying and Planning and the Civil Engineering/Built Environment specialism.
• Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in Maths and English; commitment to achieving a teaching qualification within a specified timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Teach on Level 3–6 Civil Engineering and Built Environment courses.
• Deliver high-quality teaching at Suffolk New College Ipswich campus; travel between campuses as required.
• Support curriculum development for the new T Level and related occupational specialism.
