Job summary

Skilled Careers in Sutton-in-Ashfield is seeking a Labourer to join an ongoing housing site project. You will perform varied tasks on site, using hand and power tools, and support trades as needed. The ideal candidate holds a CSCS card, has at least 1 year of site experience, and can commute to NG17.

This full-time role requires reliability, safety focus, and teamwork on busy construction sites. We provide a hands-on role with opportunities to learn across trades and contribute to quality

Qualifications

• CSCS card and prior site experience are required.
• Must have own PPE and be able to commute to site.
• References available on request.

Responsibilities

• Assist with various construction tasks including framing, drywall installation, and roofing.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans.
• Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks as needed.
• Support plumbing, electrical, and HVAC installations under supervision of tradespeople.
• Engage in masonry work including bricklaying and stone setting.
• Participate in restoration projects and hardscape installations.
• Assist with cabinet installation, door hanging, and trim carpentry.
• Conduct plastering and stucco applications as required.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety on site.
