Job summary

Avantor Services is seeking an entry‑level Laboratory Technician to join our on‑site support for a major pharmaceutical customer. You will perform routine lab tasks, assist with stock control, waste management, and equipment support, while following SOPs and safety regulations.

Working as part of a collaborative team, you’ll gain hands‑on experience with lab systems and gain exposure to GMP environments, contributing to project progress and scientific discovery.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
• Experience in customer service or scientific environment preferred.
• Familiarity with SOPs and GMP in pharma.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard laboratory support activities per defined scope of work.
• Manage laboratory waste streams with proper labeling.
• Maintain inventory using Avantor Inventory Management system.
• Operate Kardex systems to store and transport items.
• Collaborate with buying team to source ad-hoc supplies.
• Provide high-level customer service to understand scientific needs.
• Adhere to Health and Safety regulations.
