AWD online in Barnsley is seeking an IT Support Engineer / Service Desk Analyst to join an on-site team, providing varied desk-side and remote support across offices and operation sites. Training will be provided on internal systems, tools and processes.

The role emphasizes solving practical tech problems, keeping users informed, and following escalation, security and governance processes while contributing to compliance, documentation, and system rollouts.

Qualifications

• Experience providing IT support in an office/operational setting.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, accounts and connectivity.
• Security-conscious approach to patching and device processes.
• Clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide user support across offices and remote locations by phone, email, remote tools and in person.
• Log, diagnose, resolve and update incidents and service requests.
• Troubleshoot Microsoft 365, hardware, software, printing, Wi‑Fi, VPN and access issues.
• Build, configure and support laptops, desktops, mobiles, peripherals and meeting-room equipment.
• Maintain asset, software and licence records and support compliant allocation and disposal.
• Support identity and access changes using approved tools.
• Prepare accounts and equipment for joiners/movers/leavers and manage records.
• Maintain audit-ready records and assist with security audits and remediation.
• Document support procedures and look for recurring issues to standardise processes.
• Assist with projects and system rollouts with suppliers.
• Escalate significant incidents and security risks as needed.
