Job summary

Westminster School is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to provide hands-on operational management of the school's core IT infrastructure. You will work under the Senior Infrastructure and Cybersecurity Engineer to resolve escalations and contribute to projects, maintenance and upgrades.

The role covers networking, server management, storage, backups, identity and security systems across Westminster sites, with a strong focus on reliability and security in a high-profile educational environment.

Qualifications

• Professional experience working with IT infrastructure or a closely related operational IT role is essential.
• Demonstrable experience of supporting network technologies and supporting Windows Server and/or Linux server environments is required.
• Experience in an educational environment would be highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on operational management of the School’s core IT infrastructure under the direction of the Senior Infrastructure and Cybersecurity Engineer.
• Resolve day-to-day infrastructure escalations in collaboration with the IT Helpdesk and colleagues; contribute to projects, maintenance, upgrades and service improvements.
• Support networking, server, storage, backup, identity and security systems across School sites, including CCTV and access control.
