Job summary

WH Scott Group, a safety-critical engineering business, is seeking an on-site HR Generalist to support the full employee lifecycle from onboarding to policy work. Based at either Erith (London) or Wickwar (Bristol) with regular travel to other UK locations, this role offers variety in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.

You'll work with a dedicated Talent Acquisition Specialist on recruitment processes and provide on-site HR support across locations, while ensuring GDPR compliance and

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 (or working towards).
• 2-5 years' experience in a generalist HR role in the UK.
• Willingness to work on-site 5 days a week, with travel to other UK sites.
• Own transport and a full UK driving licence, due to travel between sites.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for policies, benefits and HR matters.
• Partner with TA on recruitment support and interview coordination.
• Lead onboarding and induction for new starters.
• Provide on-site HR support across base location and monthly rotations.
• Assist line managers with employee relations and GDPR-compliant record-keeping.
• Support performance reviews, salary benchmarking and pay reviews.
• Draft and update HR policies and employee handbooks.
• Coordinate learning and development activities and training tracking.
• Prepare HR metrics and reports for senior leadership.
• Support wellbeing, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
