Job summary

The Portfolio Group Inc. is seeking a Finance Assistant based in Manchester.

This on-site role is Monday to Friday, paying up to 30k DOE, with you supporting the finance team to ensure accurate financial information is produced on time and providing analysis and reporting to the business. You will work across the finance function, involved in month-end processes, reconciliations and reporting, and assist with budgeting and forecasting.

Qualifications

• Experience with month-end processes and reconciliations.
• Ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
• Proactive approach to improving processes and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly management accounts preparation.
• Assist with budgets and forecasts with senior team members.
• Complete monthly reconciliations including nominal and intercompany accounts.
• Prepare accruals, prepayments and fixed asset schedules.
• Process month-end journals and VAT/regulatory returns.
• Review ledgers and maintain accuracy of financial records.
• Produce cost analysis and financial commentary.
• Maintain rolling cash-flow forecasts.
