Job summary

XL Team LTD is recruiting casual event medical staff, ranging from first responders to multidisciplinary teams for pre-hospital care at events. Shifts and start times vary by event and role, with registration or certificate requirements depending on grade, plus an enhanced DBS check.

Roles involve responding to medical requests, administering basic life support, and coordinating with event staff and ambulance services while maintaining infection control and timely documentation.

Qualifications

• GMC registered doctor with licence to practise.
• NMC registered nurse with acute or emergency setting experience.
• HCPC registered paramedic.
• IHCD Emergency Care Practitioner, Associate Ambulance Practitioner or Emergency Medical Technician.
• NHS-listed emergency ambulance crew or related roles with required checks.
• First responder or first aider certification (FREC 3/FPOS, FAW, AED).
• DBS check and valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-hospital care to event attendees.
• Respond calmly and promptly to medical requests.
• Work solo as a first responder or within a wider team.
• Administer basic life support at the scene.
• Assess injury or illness to prioritise treatment.
• Complete patient care and forms accurately.
• Handle radio communications professionally and confidentially.
• Co-operate with event staff, volunteers and ambulance services.
• Assist with general event tasks and restock supplies.
