Job summary

Mole Valley Farmers Limited is seeking a skilled Electrician to join our renewables team in Totnes. You’ll install, test, and commission solar PV, battery storage, and EV charging systems across the South West, ensuring high standards and strong customer experience.

You’ll work with the installation team, travel to homes and businesses, and handle aftercare. BS7671 18th Edition is essential, with training provided for renewables, and a full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• BS7671 18th Edition is essential.
• 2391 Testing and Inspecting is desirable.
• Experience in electrical installation, ideally within renewables.
• Knowledge of solar PV systems or strong interest in renewable technologies.
• Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Well organised with good attention to detail.
• A positive, flexible team player who’s keen to learn and develop.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Installing solar PV systems, inverters, battery storage, and EV charge points.
• Working from detailed plans produced following site surveys.
• Testing, commissioning, and signing off installations in line with regulations.
• Attending sites for warranty and aftercare work, including fault finding and repairs.
• Travelling to homes and businesses across the South West as part of the installation team.
• Acting as a professional and approachable representative on site, delivering a positive customer experience.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure projects are delivered safely and on time.
• Occasional overnight stays for larger installations (with expenses covered).
