Job summary

Amteck is seeking a Foreman Electrician to lead a crew of Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman on commercial/industrial projects. You will install, alter and repair electrical systems, mentor your team, read blueprints, and ensure work meets NEC and project specs.

You will develop manpower schedules, prepare material lists, and coordinate with supervision to keep production and budgets on track. Strong leadership and blueprint-reading skills are essential, along with BlueBeam/Navisworks

Qualifications

7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
Ability to lead, mentor and coach teams of five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
Understanding of a small scope of work and ability to read blueprints.
Good communication with other trades and understanding project schedules.
Willingness to learn reading contract-related documents and project plans.
Ability to work to NEC guidelines and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
Work alongside the crew to ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
Develop manpower schedules for the team.
Develop material lists from layouts and communicate to supervision.
Help achieve production and budget goals by coordinating tasks with the team.
Ensure all work complies with local and NEC guidelines.
Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit and electrical devices.
Read project specs, blueprints and schematics and lay out work from drawings.
