Job summary

Amteck is seeking a Journeyman Electrician 1 (J1) who will work under a Foreman or Superintendent and may supervise a small crew of Helpers or Apprentices. The role involves installation, alteration and repair of electrical systems, and opportunities to learn other divisions such as low voltage and controls.

The candidate should have 5–7 years of electrical construction experience, own required tools, and a willingness to train others.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in electrical construction (commercial/industrial).
• Demonstrate ability to use required tools per company policy.
• Able to work weekends and overtime as needed.
• Demonstrate a team-player mentality and safe work practices.
• Ability to read and understand basic construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panel boards, and feeders.
• Read project specs, blueprints and schematics; lay out work from drawings.
