Job summary

Places Developments in Edinburgh is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of a residential development. Working with the Site Manager and project team, you will coordinate day-to-day site activity, ensuring safety, quality and programme adherence.

This hands-on role offers the opportunity to develop your site management experience while deputising for the Site Manager and liaising with contractors as well as homeowners on snagging and handover.

Qualifications

• CSCS supervisor accreditation is essential.
• SMSTS qualification is required.
• First Aid certificate is desirable.
• Scaffold Inspection qualification is required.
• Full, clean UK driving licence is necessary.
• Knowledge of NHBC standards and building control requirements.
• Experience in housebuilding or residential construction.
• Good IT and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Site Manager with day-to-day on-site management to meet programme and budget.
• Promote safe working practices and maintain site discipline.
• Monitor build quality and follow inspection processes.
• Lead health and safety inductions for contractors and visitors.
• Plan work packages and logistics to reduce risks.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and NHBC to keep progress on track.
• Deputise for Site Manager as needed and maintain site management.
• Liaise with homeowners and coordinate snagging completions.
