Job summary

Permanent Futures Limited is recruiting a Project Engineer to join a busy on-site engineering function delivering a steady pipeline of improvement and investment work. You will own end-to-end CAPEX projects from concept to handover, coordinating stakeholders to ensure safe and right-first-time execution.

The role sits close to operations, so you’ll see the impact of your work in real-world plant improvements and asset upgrades.

Qualifications

Proven CAPEX project delivery experience in manufacturing or asset-heavy settings.
Strong stakeholder management with cross-team alignment.
Solid project management: scope, budget, schedule, risk, change control.
On-site mindset with safe, hands-on coordination of contractors.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end delivery of multiple CAPEX workstreams from scope to handover (true cradle-to-grave).
Translate operational pain points into clear scopes, plans, costings and timelines and deliver against them with disciplined project management.
Coordinate suppliers, contractors, and internal teams using proactive stakeholder management and crisp communication.
Lead site activity planning: method statements, risk assessments, installation readiness, and safe execution during shutdowns or live environments.
Track progress, manage risks/issues, and keep documentation tight so projects land compliantly and sustainably.
