Job summary

Trescal Limited is seeking an On-site Calibration Engineer to perform calibration and measurement tasks at customer locations across the UK, ensuring procedures align with UKAS/ISO 17025 and customer requirements.

You will work across dimensional, mechanical, electrical, temperature, pressure, and mass calibration disciplines, maintaining meticulous records and delivering high-quality certificates.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification (HNC, HND, NVQ/BTEC Level 3 or above) required.
• Experience in calibration, preferably on-site or in a laboratory.
• Knowledge of calibration standards (ISO 17025, UKAS).
• Windows operating systems; familiarity with Indysoft calibration software is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate records and certificates.
• Excellent communication and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently on customer sites.

Requirements

• Technical qualification such as HNC, HND, NVQ/BTEC Level 3 or above in Engineering or a related field
• Previous experience working in calibration, preferably within a laboratory or on-site environment
• Good understanding of calibration practices, theories, and relevant standards (e.g., ISO 17025, UKAS procedures)
• Knowledge of Windows-based operating systems; experience with calibration software (e.g., Indysoft) is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate records and certificates
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach

About the Role

As an On-site Calibration Engineer at Trescal, you will be responsible for performing calibration and measurement activities at customer locations, ensuring all work is completed in line with UKAS and ISO 17025 procedures, as well as customer-specific requirements. You will work across a range of disciplines, including dimensional, mechanical, electrical, temperature, pressure, and mass calibration (non-exhaustive list).

Your duties will include:

• Carrying out on-site calibration of measuring equipment using approved procedures and best metrology practice
• Maintaining accurate, traceable, and auditable records of work, data, and results
• Ensuring all calibration
