Job summary

Parish Arboriculture Ltd, a tree surgery and arboricultural contracting company serving London and the south east of England, is seeking a hands-on Arborist based in Epsom. The role is full-time, on-site and involves work across the region.

You will perform pruning, crown reductions, felling, removal, and assist with planting, stump grinding, and site clearances. Emphasis on safety, client communication, and professional teamwork will be essential.

Qualifications

• Strong arboricultural knowledge with credentials or equivalent experience.
• Practical experience with trees and identification in urban/suburban environments.
• Background in Forestry or related land-based disciplines with understanding of tree health and structure.
• Tickets such as chainsaw operation (CS30/31 or equivalent) and climbing/rescue qualifications are advantageous.
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations, working at height, and risk assessment on active sites.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and handle equipment safely.
• Effective teamwork and professional client interactions.
• Valid UK driving license is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day tree surgery tasks including pruning, crown reduction, felling and removal.
• Assist with planting, stump grinding, and site clearances across sites.
• Assess tree condition, identify species and support arboricultural reports.
• Follow safe working practices and company health and safety guidelines; operate and maintain equipment.
