Job summary

Weston Recovery Services is seeking a skilled recovery technician to join our team in the southwest of England, covering Bristol to Exeter. You will primarily recover vehicles on behalf of police and highways, ensuring rapid response and incidents cleared quickly.

As an on-call role, you will work a rota that includes overnights and weekends; a valid CE (Class 1) licence and Driver CPC are required, with training provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial driving or vehicle recovery preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to assess vehicles.
• Excellent communication skills for team and clients.
• Valid CE (Class 1) licence and Driver CPC are required.
• Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rota.
• Clean criminal record for vetting checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recovery of vehicles from various locations as directed.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on recovery vehicles to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding recovery operations.
• Drive flatbed and other recovery vehicles as needed for transport.
• Maintain accurate records of recovered vehicles and related documentation.
• Support yard operations when necessary, including loading and unloading vehicles.
