Job summary

Calibre Search is seeking an experienced Field Service Generator Engineer to service, maintain and repair diesel generators across customer sites in the Preston, Liverpool and Manchester region and nationwide as required.

You will be responsible for fault finding, load testing, completing service reports and supporting the hire fleet, with a 24/7 rota and travel across the UK. The role offers a basic salary up to £45,000 plus overtime, 25 days leave, pension and healthcare.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience working with diesel generators.
• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification required.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home.
• Full UK driving licence and 24/7 call-out rota.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned servicing and maintenance on diesel generator sets across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to minimise downtime.
• Perform load bank testing and ensure efficient operation.
• Complete pre/post-hire inspections and service reports.
• Support generator hire fleet and installation work where required.
