A healthcare provider in the UK is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join their team of on-call crisis workers at their Liverpool site. This role involves providing crisis management for patients attending for forensic medical examinations. Successful applicants will receive full training and must be organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing stressful situations. Shifts are flexible and compensation is £14.51 per on-call shift.
We are looking to appoint a number of enthusiastic individuals to join our established team of on-call crisis workers at SAFE Place, our Merseyside Sexual Assault Referral Centre site in Liverpool.
The post holder will provide crisis management for patients attending the Centre for a forensic medical examination outside of normal office hours.
Candidates must be aware of a future requirement for all SARC staff to provide a DNA sample for elimination purposes.
This is a bank contract offering on-call services 24 hours a day across various shifts. Compensation is £14.51 per on-call shift and £14.15 per hour for call-outs and telephone calls.
The out-of-hours crisis workers will work on a rota basis between 7pm and 8am Monday-Friday (on call from home) and 8am-4pm, 4pm-Midnight on Saturday, Sunday, and Public Holidays (also on call from home). The post holder is expected to work a minimum of 4 on-call shifts per month.
The post involves providing telephone support, information, and crisis management to clients attending for forensic medical examinations.
Successful applicants will receive full training to provide crisis support to adults and young people attending for forensic examinations and out-of-hours telephone support.
Applicants should have some experience working in a supportive role, understanding of safeguarding, and possess a calming influence in stressful situations. You must be highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. You should be able to attend SAFE Place Merseyside within 30-60 minutes of a call-out, be able to drive, and hold a clean driving license.
