Essex County Fire and Rescue Service seeks an on-call Crew Manager for Wivenhoe Fire Station. You will lead the station in collaboration with the Watch Manager, upholding professional standards and driving the Crew Manager role map and responsibilities.

You will develop yourself and others, support new recruits, and ensure timely delivery of station plans while balancing interaction with fire crews and management. DBS checks apply as required.

Qualifications

• Competent in their current role.
• Hold a current Fitech 42 VO2 max.
• Hold a current BAV&D Assessment/comparable external BA qualification.
• Hold Incident Command Level 1.
• Have completed all relevant operational assessments and compulsory courses to their role.
• Live or work within a 5-minute drive radius of the station (CO7 9EU).
• Demonstrate no current live disciplinary warnings or conduct/attendance issues.

Responsabilités

• Lead the station with the Watch Manager and undertake the full Role Map and responsibilities of a Crew Manager.
• Manage the interaction between firefighters and station management to ensure planning, review, implementation and delivery of station plans and other priorities.
• Support new recruits through their development journey and contribute to succession planning.
