Job Description:

The On Board Manager at Avanti West Coast plays a crucial role in our success, focusing on our people and customer experience. This is a people-oriented management role overseeing a dedicated team of onboard crew members who deliver services to our customers. Please note, this position is not onboard the train but involves managing the onboard crew team.

You will lead and motivate your team to deliver excellent customer service, embodying the company's vision and values. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Managing team behaviors in line with business values, supervising performance, sickness, and availability, and providing feedback.
  2. Leading the implementation of planned changes and supporting the onboard teams with new initiatives.
  3. Ensuring safety compliance of your team.
  4. Managing budgets in collaboration with the Finance Business Partner.
  5. Delivering exceptional customer service at all times.
  6. This role requires an 'On Call' commitment and flexibility to work hours suitable for the railway environment.

Ideal candidates will have proven leadership experience, the ability to manage workload effectively, and prioritize safety.
