Oxford Nanopore Technologies seeks a highly motivated Oligonucleotide Scientist to join the newly formed Oligonucleotide Synthesis Team at Harwell, Oxfordshire. The role focuses on developing synthesis, purification, and analytical workflows for long and modified DNA/RNA oligonucleotides in an on-site, fast-paced environment.

• Degree in Chemistry with industrial or equivalent experience.
• Experience in oligonucleotide synthesis and bioconjugation.
• Practical knowledge of small molecules and oligonucleotide analysis and purification.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of organization.

Mansioni

• Develop an oligonucleotide synthesis pipeline to support R&D projects.
• Create synthesis methodologies for complex, long, or modified oligonucleotides.
• Improve purification and analytical workflows; introduce automation where possible.
• Analyse oligonucleotides by CE, LC-MS, and HPLC.
• Onboard new technology and methods to improve operations.
