Essex Cares Limited is seeking a Day Centre Manager to lead Maldon Learning Disabilities & Older People Day Centre, overseeing a team of Support Workers and delivering person-centred services for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.
You will work Monday to Friday, 37 hours, with no on-call requirement, driving service improvements, building community links and ensuring safe, high-quality care that promotes independence and wellbeing across the local community.
Hours: Full time hours 37 hours per week - Monday-Thursday 08:30-16:30, Fridays 08:30-16:00

Supporting the Lead Manager, you will be overseeing and developing a day service with community-based support for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. With direct line management responsibility of a team of Support Workers, you will run a safe and effective service whilst leading the team to deliver person-centred support to our customers. You will be a strong leader, championing our goal of helping people live as independently as possible in their local community.
Experience working with vulnerable people and a passion for promoting independence and customer choice will equip you for developing customer pathways and identifying opportunities for improvement, supporting the innovation and transformation of our services.
Maldon is a blended Day Opportunities service supporting both adults with learning disabilities and older adults. The service is focused on promoting, developing and maintaining independence, enabling people to achieve their personal outcomes and live fulfilling lives within their communities. We offer a wide range of activities both within the service and in the local community, providing meaningful opportunities that enhance wellbeing, social inclusion and life skills.
The successful Day Opportunities Manager will ideally have experience of supporting both older adults and people with learning disabilities, with a strong understanding of person-centred approaches and outcome-focused support. You will play a key role in the continued development and growth of the service, identifying new opportunities, building community connections and driving innovative ways to meet the changing needs of the people we support.
With operating hours of 08:30-16:30 Monday-Friday and no on-call responsibilities, this role offers flexibility and genuine work-life balance.
