As an Old Age Psychiatry Middle Grade Doctor, your expertise is vital for providing psychiatric services to older patients or those with similar needs at [Insert Hospital name(s)]. Your role involves comprehensive assessment, treatment, and ongoing care for conditions such as dementia, memory issues, depression, delirium, schizophrenia, and personality disorders.

Working flexible shifts at Birkenhead AMH - Stein Centre, you will collaborate closely with the mental health team to understand patient issues, develop management strategies, and utilize your therapeutic skills for recovery pathways.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assess new referrals, deliver therapy, and coordinate with psychology colleagues.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and lead when appropriate.
• Prioritize patient needs and delegate tasks effectively.
• Monitor patient conditions, report changes, and maintain accurate records.
• Contribute to training of junior staff and students.

Qualifications/Licenses/Certifications:

• MBChB or equivalent.
• Six months recent NHS experience within the last three years.
