The successful London-based Oil & Gas group of a global financial institution is recruiting a VP. The group works on M&A transactions globally, including many high-profile cross-border deals.

They cover all key verticals, and the ideal candidate will be an experienced banker operating at VP level (strong Senior Associates will also be considered) seeking an active and progressive platform to ensure high-caliber experience that can propel them to MD.

You will either be an Oil & Gas specialist already or looking to deepen your specialization, having gained M&A and sector expertise as part of a credible Industrials or broader Natural Resources Group. Your CV should exhibit first-rate M&A execution experience.

Responsibilities will include:

  1. Managing live transactions
  2. Overseeing and driving the team's production of marketing presentations, Information Memoranda, and other transaction documents
  3. Taking a lead role in developing strategic ideas for clients
  4. Supporting senior professionals in developing and maintaining client relationships and generating new business

Personal and technical requirements include:

  • Previous Upstream Energy Investment Banking experience is strongly preferred
  • Detailed financial valuation modeling experience (DCF, Merger, and LBO)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
