This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced overhead line professional looking to take ownership of site activities, mentor delivery teams, and play a key role in the successful delivery of major power infrastructure projects. If you thrive in a hands‑on leadership role and are passionate about safe and effective project delivery, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Monitor site performance to ensure work is completed to the required quality, programme, and safety standards.
  • Ensure teams have the correct PPE, plant, tools, and equipment to undertake their work safely.
  • Liaise with Senior Authorised Persons and operational stakeholders to coordinate outages, earthing, and network requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety observations to maintain compliance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Review project documentation, risk assessments, and completed records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support, coach, and mentor operational teams, promoting best practice and high standards of workmanship.
  • Identify site issues and implement solutions to minimise disruption and maintain project progress.
  • Communicate project changes, risks, and commercial events to project teams and management as required.
What You'll Bring
  • Previous experience supervising overhead line construction or electrical distribution activities within the utilities or power sector.
  • Strong understanding of safe systems of work, risk assessments, and site safety requirements.
  • Experience leading field‑based teams and coordinating multiple work activities.
  • Good understanding of electrical distribution or overhead line construction practices.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage site issues and make decisions in a fast‑paced operational environment.
  • Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
  • Experience working within DNO, ICP, or electrical distribution network environments.
  • Bonus if you hold NRSWA, IOSH, or other relevant utility sector qualifications.
  • It would be great if you have knowledge of NERS requirements and utility industry compliance frameworks.
