The role involves monitoring QA/QC, developing regional quality reports and ensuring compliance with legislation and National Grid policies. Hybrid working arrangements are discussed as part of the role.
We are looking for a highly motivated SHESQ Assurance Engineer to support the delivery of Safety, Health, Environment, Sustainability and Quality (SHESQ) assurance activities across our Overhead Lines (OHL) business. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, implementing, coordinating, delivering and monitoring SHESQ assurance activities, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, National Grid policies, procedures and technical specifications. Working closely with operational teams, engineers, contractors and other stakeholders, you will play a vital role in driving continuous improvement, maintaining high standards of quality, and promoting a strong culture of safety and compliance. No two days are the same. You'll travel to a variety of OHL sites across the West/South, including Swansea & Bristol working alongside project teams and key stakeholders to ensure that everything from tools and PPE to site demarcation and lifting equipment meets the required safety and compliance standards. We also encourage a hybrid approach to working and are happy to discuss any additional flexibility or working arrangements that would help make this role work for you.
