  • NMC registration
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment

Qualification/Education

Ideal candidates will be registered nurses with proven experience in an occupational health setting, preferably within manufacturing, and possess skills in audiometry, spirometry, and HAVS (Hand and Arm Vibration Syndrome) assessments.

Experience

Experience working within a manufacturing background or similar is advantageous.

Skills

Proactive relationship building, compliance with HSE guidelines, health surveillance program management, risk assessment, mental health strategy development, wellbeing initiative delivery, presentation and training skills.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide expert advice and practical recommendations to line managers and HR regarding employee health concerns.
  2. Conduct fitness for work health assessments for new employees.
  3. Participate in regular meetings with HR and Operational Managers, reporting on Occupational Health activities and updates on employee health, including absence cases.
  4. Support the Occupational Health Manager in supervising, reviewing, and developing Occupational Health policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current legislation and Health & Safety Executive (HSE) best practices and clinical standards.
  5. Assist the Occupational Health Manager and act as a deputy when necessary.
  6. Help implement and manage the health surveillance program according to HSE guidelines, including COSHH, Control of Noise at Work Regulations (2005), Control of Vibration at Work Regulations (2005), and ensure clinical standards are met.
  7. Assist management with individual risk assessments and workplace assessments when health concerns are identified.
  8. Support the site in developing its Mental Health wellbeing strategy.
  9. Actively support the organization in delivering wellbeing initiatives.
  10. Assist in facilitating environmental surveys and provide Occupational Health-related advice to collaborators.
  11. Conduct presentations and training sessions to promote health and wellbeing.
  12. Participate in departmental audits.
Salary

£38,000 per annum + benefits (including 27 days annual leave + bank holidays, car scheme or cycle to work scheme, private medical insurance, eye care, and more).
